“How bad are you?” is not a question one is asked often, but if you are Carlos Dew, CEO and founder of Superbad, Inc., it’s one of your favorites. Carlos and his team are creating a lifestyle brand for premium, top-shelf cannabis products. He is also working to create an industry and to educate other entrepreneurs with one-to-one consulting on building the cannabis culture, business, and industry. Carlos is in the power user spotlight as we get to know him better.

  • What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Carlos: mogul, philanthropic, and fashionista

  • Tell us a bit about yourself:

Carlos: I come from the entertainment industry and a sports agency where I assisted players in the migration from student to professional athletes. I mentored well-known NBA, NFL and MLB athletes, helping them to adjust to their new world. In 2016, I transitioned to become one of the founders of the first medical cannabis cultivation to bring my vision to life for a business and in developing an ecosystem.  It allowed me to become hands-on with the day-to-day indoor, pesticide-free, premium flour and heavy metal-free cultivation, research & development, and volatile & non-volatile extraction.

It’s a tough business with many rules and regulations to follow to remain legally compliant. I’m now focused on creating the brand of the culture, and working with a phenomenal marketing and sales team.

  • Do you have any hobbies?

Carlos: No, no hobbies at the current time. I am entirely focused on building a global company starting in California and expanding to other territories. I pride myself on superbad, inc. and building a proprietary cannabis strain. We also do some community-service projects and have something planned during the holidays to give back to the community along with the ongoing mentoring entrepreneurs.

  • How are you using Symposium?

Carlos: I use Symposium for one-to-one consulting to give direction to those interested in the cannabis industry. We are also using the platform as part of our multichannel strategy in technology of bringing visibility to the brand. We have a talk show and podcast called superbad inc. presents COFFEE  Pot Livestream on Sundays on Symposium and other platforms. Our guests include cannabis marketers, athletes, entertainers and unique stories who come on and talk about their projects and platforms.

  • What do you like about Symposium?

Carlos: I like the technology of Symposium; it enables me to talk one-to-one with clients in a sophisticated way during a global pandemic. I am able to operate from multiple locations, have a global reach  and still be SUPERBAD!

  • What advice would you give to other Symposium users?

Carlos: My advice to other  Symposium users, spend your time wisely!  Make technology your friend, take the time to educate, research and utilize technology to operate your business in a virtual world.
